1. Consider an array of character strings. Each element in the array may be NULL, or itmay be a string of length 0 or greater. Write a C function to count the total numberof chars in the array including the terminating characters.

The function should pass the array and its length and should return a count of thenumber of chars in the array:

int countChars(char *array[], int len);

2. Write a C function to search an array for a specified value, changing all suchelements to a new (given) value. The function should pass the array and its length aswell as the old and new values.

It should return a count of the number of changesmade and should have the following header:

int replace(char *array[],int len, char *old, char *new)
